Introduction :
During my time at Axeal, I contributed to the design of an augmented reality application on Unreal Engine 5. The objective was to detail the functioning of an engine, its factory installation, and to guide the user through the steps of understanding and usage.

Project Context :

Our client aimed to present the operation of an industrial engine in an innovative manner. I shared my vision in line with their needs, demonstrating our capability to execute this project. The application needed to combine graphical quality, ease of use, and a playful aspect to appeal to a broad industrial audience.

 

Project Objective:

The project aimed to achieve several key objectives:


Augmented reality display for a life-sized factory simulation, allowing estimation of the space required for engine installation.


Accurate representation of usage steps through animations and interactive buttons.

Project Description :

Using videos provided by the client, I meticulously modeled the steps of the machine's operation. After integrating the model into Unreal Engine 5 and creating the interface, each step was validated with the client. Research was conducted to implement augmented reality on UE5. Following this research and testing, a prototype application was created, compatible with augmented reality on iPad Air 5. Issues Encountered and Solutions :

Mastering augmented reality on UE5 was a rewarding challenge. Today, I am capable of creating builds for iPad and Smartphone, integrating animated 3D models with various functionalities. The experience gained facilitated collaboration and task organization with the client.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusion :
This project was stimulating, offering me the opportunity to discover new technologies like augmented reality and strengthening my skills on UE5. It was a formative and enjoyable experience.
