"Une Lueur d'Espoir" is a project that emerged during the Perpignan Game Jam 2020 and won the award for the best project. Its originality lies in the integration of "giving" as a game mechanic, rather than just a background element.
The player possesses the unique ability to collect light at the center of the level and share it with needy NPCs. When these NPCs are plunged into darkness, they transform, seeking to steal light from the nearest target.
The player's objective is to maintain resources at the highest level possible for everyone, in order to achieve the highest score over time. My role in this project was to develop the concept and gameplay mechanics.
